Sometimes the best conversations begin with an odd question. ¿What do you see outside of your window?
If you live in a big city, you already know that outside your window you must certainly see… well you guessed that right. More windows! And inside of each one of them, there are a million stories waiting to tell.
I live in Palermo, a gorgeous neighborhood well known for its vibrant artistic and bohemian vibe, and luckily, next to a jazz club. That means opening my window three nights a week (sometimes more considering bands practicing) to enjoy live music while comfortable sitting at my recording studio. How about that for inspiration?
On top of that, Buenos Aires is a sexy city you can breath in at every bloc. Sometimes you can hear the neighbors releasing tension if you get me and stories out of those windows turn even more vibrant.
Now with the inspiration explained, I wrote this song with two goals in mind:
First, after my debut single which I intended with a solid more traditional sound, I wanted to be able to surprise my audience with something they wouldn’t expect. People tend to classify everything as soon as it grabs their attention. After the first single to many of them, I’m another Indie Rock musician, but actually I’m very far from that concept.
Truth is my influences are very strong with other genres such as funk, soul, fusion jazz, hip hop among others, so expect more of that because it’s coming hot.
For this release, I wanted a very energetic song with a clear message. I’m here to be noticed. I’m not playing around and my versatility is my best weapon.
Secondly, I grew up in a limited environment for collaborations in all this genres.
With the current technology and online pro musician marketplaces, I promised myself l wont be limited to a location to produce my music ever again. If I hear it in my head, that is exactly how you will hear it.

Besides being an artist, as a music producer I always do what is right for the song. I wanted female vocals for the lyrics I wrote, so I turned to my friend @mermarcalle for the job. She has a beautiful powerful voice and she provided the energy I was looking for in that department.
For drums, I decided to contact one of my favorite session drummers to work with @danieljgallardomusic I’m very demanding with drums, after hearing him play, I was sure he was the man for the job. After three attempts, he nailed it. Just listen.
He told me later this was one of the most fun songs he has worked on as a session drummer. I took the compliment with pride.
For post production I turned to Grammy award nominee @beauvallis with credits like Pharell, Beyoncé, Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Sia among others. Beau is a gentleman to treat with.

I moved to Buenos Aires from Quito (Ecuador) 10 months ago with 3 demos in my computer. Now I will be releasing my first album during the summer.
